Winemaker Tasting Notes: The aroma of this wine is very complex and speaks perfectly to the blend: dried cherry, blueberry pie, and blackberry jam mingling with allspice, anise, and black pepper spices with earthy and savory herbs and smoked meat. On the entry, the wine is smooth and soft before ramping up in a plethora of baked red and black fruits, an earthy mid-palate of cigar box, old leather and cedar dust, and a pick-me-up of bright acid that carries through to a long finish of returning fruit, firm integrated tannins and baking spices. Ready to enjoy now, or cellar up to 2-3 years.
