Winemaker Tasting Notes: Beginning with an old-world dominated nose of dehydrated red fruits, dried flowers, Herbes de Provence, and a lovely mixture of spices, white pepper and cigar box. The palate drinks way more new-world than the nose lets off, beginning smooth and velvety on the entry, with red fruit notes of strawberry, cherry and pomegranate, vibrant acidity in the mid-palate, and a finish of firming tannins, dried tobacco, and subtle hints of vanilla and spice. Ready to enjoy now, or cellar up to 2-3 years.
