Winemaker Tasting Notes: Starting with an expansive and perfumed nose that teeters on sweet and savory: olive tapenade, black pepper and dried Italian herbs mingle with blueberry cobbler, blackberry pie, crème brulée, macaroon, and plenty of spice. The palate begins with rich black and blue fruits stewed in cast iron skillet with butter, lively acidity that lifts the wine into structured tannins and a finish of clove, licorice, cocoa nibs, bone marrow and savory fresh herbs. A lovely full-bodied red that is beautiful now, but will pay dividends held in your cellar! Decant 2 hours before serving.
